Information from the Denunciation Hotline helps police seize drugs and ammunition in Taiobeiras

A tip-off to the Denunciation Hotline led the Civil Police of Minas Gerais to seize cocaine and ammunition in Taiobeiras, with ongoing investigations into local drug sales.

A recent anonymous tip-off to the Denunciation Hotline (Disque Denúncia 181) has resulted in a significant seizure of cocaine and ammunition by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) in Taiobeiras. Following this lead, law enforcement conducted an operation to verify the claims, as they had already initiated an investigation into drug trafficking in the area. Upon arrival at the location, the officers were granted entry by the resident, allowing them to conduct a thorough search.

During the search, police confiscated drug paraphernalia including bags of cocaine, a scale used for weighing the drugs, cash, a gun magazine, ammunition, and material typically associated with drug preparation and packaging. However, the individual believed to be responsible for the illegal possessions was not found on-site and remains at large. This operation underscores the importance of community involvement in reporting criminal activities through the hotline.

Delegado Thiago Cavalcante emphasized that anonymous tips combined with police intelligence efforts lead to more effective and precise law enforcement actions. The PCMG has encouraged the public to continue providing information anonymously via the Denunciation Hotline, thereby enhancing collaborative efforts in combating drug-related crime and ensuring public safety in the region.
