The reconstruction of Rodolfo Baquerizo Nazur Avenue in Alborada officially began on March 20, with an estimated investment of $3.9 million. The project is being overseen by the Public Works Directorate of the Municipality and is expected to take approximately eleven months to complete. This improvement initiative comes in response to the heavy pedestrian and commercial traffic experienced in the vicinity, with officials highlighting its urgent nature.

Carlos Vázquez, the director of Public Works, emphasized that the area is characterized by high transit, making this reconstruction a critical investment aimed at enhancing mobility for both pedestrians and vehicles. The construction plan, which benefits over 8,000 residents, is designed to improve circulation for about 56,000 vehicles that utilize this major route daily. In addition to replacing the concrete pavement, the project is being developed with the support of an international agency, ensuring professional oversight.
