In Guayaquil, the urban renewal project will lead to vehicle closures on Rodolfo Baquerizo Nazur Avenue, one of the busiest routes in the city, seeing around 56,000 vehicles daily. The urban renewal includes significant improvements such as pavement reconstruction, sidewalk upgrades, and enhancements to drainage, sewage, and water supply systems, alongside new traffic signage. This work aims to improve traffic flow and infrastructure in this key area.

The construction is expected to commence in the third week of February, and the exact start date of the closures will be communicated through municipal channels. The affected area runs between Agustín Freire Avenue and José María Egas Avenue, near known establishments such as Almacenes Estuardito and KFC. The project is crucial for addressing the growing transportation needs in this heavily trafficked part of the city.

As the first phase of the project is estimated to take at least five months, local authorities will explore alternative routes for drivers and pedestrians affected by the closures.
