Starting in December 2025, Claro initiated the rollout of its 5G services in major cities such as Guayaquil, Quito, Puerto Ayora, and Coca. The company has set plans for further extending 5G coverage to additional locations, including Samborondón, Cumbayá, Ambato, Machala, Manta, and Santo Domingo in the near future. This strategic expansion is part of Claro's efforts to meet the growing demand for high-speed internet and modern telecommunications services.

Claro's infrastructure upgrade is designed to enhance both voice and data services, reinforcing existing networks while also facilitating the implementation of 5G technology. With potential speeds reaching up to 1.5 Gbps and latency improvements up to ten times faster, this rollout indicates a significant advancement in telecom services in Ecuador and is expected to benefit numerous users in the newly added regions.
