The female trio stole thousands from the elderly – now more information has come
A trio of women has been stealing valuables from elderly individuals in Finland, with investigations revealing 19 instances and suspects currently in custody.
Authorities in Southwest Finland are continuing their investigation into a series of crimes targeting the elderly, where a trio of women managed to gain access to several homes during February and March, stealing valuables worth thousands of euros. The police are looking into 19 separate incidents, with some categorized as aggravated thefts and others as basic thefts. The scope of these crimes spans multiple communities, particularly in North Satakunta and Sastamala in the Pirkanmaa region.
The suspects have been apprehended, and law enforcement officials report that they have thoroughly examined the events surrounding these thefts. However, in two cases, the police have been unable to contact the affected parties, which complicates the recovery of stolen property and the overall investigation. One significant incident occurred in Lavian, where the perpetrators entered a row house on March 2 around 5-6 PM, and another unconfirmed theft is believed to have taken place at a detached house in the Lassila area of Pori on February 19 around 10:30 PM.
The targeting of elderly victims raises serious concerns about their safety and the need for community awareness regarding potential scams and thefts. The ongoing investigations aim to bring justice for the victims and raise awareness to prevent such crimes in the future, especially as this demographic can often be vulnerable to such criminal activities.
