Investigation has revealed more crimes by the trio of women - police are now looking for two victims
The police in Southwest Finland are investigating a series of property crimes targeting the elderly, with three women previously taken into custody for multiple thefts, and two more victims now being sought.
The police in Southwest Finland have expanded their investigation into a series of burglaries focusing on the elderly, with earlier detentions made of three women suspected of carrying out these offenses. The Regional Court of Satakunta had previously remanded these women in custody due to allegations of serious thefts and burglaries predominantly targeting older individuals.
Recent developments indicate that the number of reported burglaries has risen to 19, with police categorizing these incidents into serious thefts and basic-level burglaries based on their nature. According to the lead investigator, Crime Commissioner Jari Klaus, the suspects have accurately recounted details during the pre-investigation phase, which has helped to uncover the scale of the crimes.
However, the authorities are still seeking clarity regarding two victims whose identities remain unknown, complicating the investigation. Each case involved the suspects gaining entry to the victims' homes, raising concerns about safety in the community, especially among vulnerable elderly residents. The police are actively urging the public to come forward if they have any information that could assist in identifying the victims or further incidents connected to the ongoing case.
