The situation escalated following a recent inspection by the CRM at the hospital, which took place on the same day a tragic incident occurred involving the death of a psychiatric patient. During the inspection, concerns were raised regarding inadequate security measures and the overall deteriorating condition of the facility. In light of these findings, the regional councils highlighted the urgent need for more personnel to enhance both security and patient care within the institution.

Despite the pressing staffing issues, there have been positive developments, as the hospital has been undergoing a structural reform aimed at improving its facilities. This renovation is expected to be completed by the end of the year, which may help address some of the current concerns if coupled with the recruitment of the necessary healthcare professionals, ultimately aiming to provide better care for its psychiatric patients and restore confidence in the hospital's capacity to serve effectively.
