Duo arrested after robbery in Iguaba Grande; R$ 6 thousand, cell phones, and cigarettes are recovered

Two men were arrested in connection with a robbery in Iguaba Grande, Brazil, resulting in the recovery of R$ 6,000, several cell phones, and packs of cigarettes.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, the 18th, two men were apprehended in Iguabinha of the Iguaba Grande region after carrying out a robbery. The robbery took place in a business located on Rua Altieri de Melo Santos, leading local police to be called through their ongoing operation, Iguaba Grande Presente. Utilizing surveillance footage from the municipal monitoring system, police were able to identify and subsequently track down the suspects.

Following the identification of the suspects through the footage, officers set up a cordon around the immediate area. Their efforts proved successful, as the two men were arrested near the site of the robbery. During the police intervention, investigators recovered valuable items, including R$ 6,000 in cash, five cell phones, and three packages of cigarettes that had been taken during the incident.

Fortunately, the robbery did not result in any injuries to the victims, who gave their testimonies at the scene. Following the arrests, both suspects and the recovered items were taken to the police station in Iguaba Grande for further processing, where the case remains under investigation.
