Thieves broke into a jewelry store in Tuusula using a loader, police suspect
Thieves broke into a Tuusula jewelry store by using a stolen loader to break windows and access the premises.
In the early hours of March 20, a jewelry store located on Vanhalla Valtatiellä in Tuusula was broken into by thieves who used a stolen loader to smash through a display window and security gate. Police arrived on the scene shortly after receiving an emergency call, involving multiple patrols from the Eastern Uusimaa Police and two from Hämeen. Unfortunately, the suspects managed to flee the scene before authorities arrived, prompting an ongoing investigation into the crime.
The loader used in the break-in was previously reported stolen from Mäntsälä, indicating premeditated planning on the part of the thieves. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a light-colored or gray sedan with its trunk open parked outside the jewelry store at the time of the incident, suggesting that this vehicle may have been used to facilitate the escape. The suspects are believed to have driven away forcefully towards Ohkola, raising concerns about their potential next moves.
Authorities are investigating the incident under serious charges, including aggravated theft and motor vehicle theft. This crime highlights the ongoing issue of organized theft in Finland and the challenges law enforcement faces in tackling such brazen criminal activities. The community is urged to report any leads or sightings relating to the suspects or the vehicle described to assist in the ongoing investigation.
