Burglars stole jewelry worth over 300,000 euros - One suspect identified, but still missing

Burglars broke into a jewelry store in Seinäjoki, Finland, stealing jewelry valued at over 300,000 euros, with one suspect identified and sought by police.

On October 23, 2025, burglars broke into a jewelry store located in the Prisma shopping center in Hyllykallio, Seinäjoki, stealing an estimated 343,000 euros worth of jewelry. The Pohjanmaa police have identified one of the suspects as a foreign man, whose whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities have presented this individual as a likely candidate for arrest in absentia as they continue their investigation. Meanwhile, the second suspect has not yet been identified, and both individuals are being pursued under charges of aggravated theft.

Following the break-in, the police released images of two masked men who were involved in the crime. According to Pekka Laitamäki, the jeweler, a significant portion of the stolen items included gold chains, along with a large quantity of yellow and white gold and diamond rings. Fortunately, items worth approximately 170,000 euros have been recovered and returned to the jeweler, providing some relief amidst the ongoing investigation aimed at the apprehension of the suspects.
