14-year-old boy slit friend's throat, household light extinguished just before Eid

A 14-year-old boy in Uttar Pradesh allegedly killed his 12-year-old friend over a petty dispute, leading to tragic consequences just before Eid festivities.

In a shocking incident in Bahsar village of Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old boy named Arabaz has been accused of killing his 12-year-old friend Asad. The tragic event unfolded just before the Eid celebrations when a minor disagreement escalated into violence. Arabaz reportedly lured Asad under the pretext of giving him berries, only to tie his hands with rope and slit his throat with a knife, resulting in a severe loss of blood.

Asad managed to run back home covered in blood but fell unconscious, prompting his family to rush him to the local medical college in Tirwa. Due to the severity of his injuries, the doctors referred him to a hospital in Kanpur where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The incident has left the local community in shock, as it is not just a loss of life but also the loss of a young child’s future, bringing an unwelcome cloud over the festive mood that typically accompanies Eid.

Following the incident, Asad's father filed a complaint with the police, leading to the arrest of the accused boy, Arabaz.
