On Eid day in Meerut district, India, a violent clash erupted over a financial dispute among two groups from the same community in the village of Mehramati Ganeshpur. The disagreement quickly escalated from a minor argument into a brutal confrontation involving sharp weapons. Tragically, two brothers, Bhura (38) and Saimuddin (48), who were associates of the village head, were fatally attacked with knives. This incident took place around 6:30 PM during the Eid celebrations, leading to widespread shock in the local community.

The altercation began with a seemingly trivial exchange but soon intensified as members from both sides armed themselves with clubs and knives. The accused party launched a swift attack on the village head’s brothers, leaving them critically injured. Despite immediate medical attention, the brothers succumbed to their injuries shortly after arriving at the community health center and being referred to the district hospital, where doctors confirmed their deaths due to deep wounds inflicted during the assault.

Furthermore, the violent confrontation led to injuries for around 8 to 10 other individuals involved in the clash. The local police have swiftly acted by detaining three named suspects connected to the violent incident in a bid to restore order and ensure accountability following this tragic episode during an occasion traditionally marked by peace and joy.
