Electoral Justice conducts a weekend service effort

The Electoral Court of Pará will conduct service efforts on weekends to facilitate voter registration ahead of the impending electoral registration deadline.

In an effort to enhance accessibility for voters in Brazil, the Electoral Court of Pará (TRE) will hold weekend service events in electoral offices across the state, specifically in Santarém. This initiative is particularly aimed at individuals who find it difficult to attend during weekdays due to work or other commitments, ensuring that more voters can complete their registration before the deadline on May 6. The service efforts will take place on the weekend of April 21-22, allowing residents to resolve electoral issues promptly.

The program is designed to prevent a last-minute rush as the registration deadline approaches, with additional events planned for April 11-12 and May 2-3, right before the final cutoff. Operating hours for these events will be from 8 AM to 2 PM. During the service efforts, voters will have the opportunity to partake in several critical electoral services, including issuing their first voter ID, making changes to their electoral domicile, and updating or addressing other registration issues.

This proactive approach by the TRE illustrates the importance of voter participation in the electoral process and reflects the court's commitment to facilitating a smoother voting experience for all citizens. By providing these additional service hours, the TRE aims to increase voter registration rates and ensure that as many eligible citizens as possible are able to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections.
