BH gains new bus lines starting next week
Belo Horizonte will introduce two new bus lines and modify two existing ones to enhance access and travel efficiency starting March 22.
The City Hall of Belo Horizonte has announced the launch of two new bus lines and adjustments to two others, effective from March 22 to March 25. These changes aim to improve accessibility, safety, and the speed of public transport services in the area. The municipality's efforts are directed towards enhancing public transportation, which is vital for the mobility of residents in urban environments.
One of the new lines, designated as Line 109 (Fazendinha / Rua do Ouro via Vila Aparecida), will commence operations on March 23. This line will operate on weekdays and Saturdays, providing essential links to various public services, including the EMEI Cafezal educational institution and the Centro de SaΓΊde Nossa Senhora Aparecida health center. Furthermore, it will connect with several other bus lines along Rua do Ouro, making it easier for residents of the Aglomerado da Serra community to access local commerce and services.
The introduction of these changes reflects the city's commitment to creating a more integrated and efficient public transport network, particularly benefiting those living in areas with historically limited access. Notably, the new line is part of the network catering to Villas and Favelas, with free fare for residents, further underscoring the inclusive approach of the cityβs transit policies, as it aims to ensure that all citizens can effectively participate in the economic and social life of Belo Horizonte.
