Folha Prova elects the best Easter eggs sold in supermarkets
Folha conducted a blind tasting of 38 different Easter eggs and selected the best based on taste and cost-effectiveness to help consumers make informed purchases as Easter approaches.
As Easter approaches, consumers often find themselves overwhelmed by the plethora of Easter egg options available in supermarkets. In response, Folha organized a blind tasting event where 38 different products from leading brands and artisanal bakeries were evaluated. The selection criteria prioritized widely accessible brands that can be found in shopping malls and street stores, taking into account their price points for both artisanal and industrialized products.
The judging panel, made up of confectionery and gastronomy experts, along with Folha’s columnists and journalists who are also consumers of these products, approached this tasting without prior knowledge of the brands. This ensured an unbiased assessment based purely on flavor and value for money, allowing the best options to rise to the top amidst the competitive Easter egg market.
Through its Folha Prova section, the publication aims to assist readers with purchasing decisions, having previously reviewed various items including white wine, olive oil, hazelnut cream, frozen cheese bread, panetone, and chocolate ice cream. Such guides are crucial for consumers looking to navigate the crowded retail space and find products that deliver on quality and affordability, particularly during widely celebrated occasions like Easter.
