Busan Democratic Park to Hold Youth Club Contest... Support of Up to 500,000 Won
Busan Democratic Park is recruiting youth clubs to participate in the 'Youth Democracy Imagination Festival', aimed at fostering democratic values among teenagers through club activities and communication.
Busan Democratic Park has announced plans to host the 'Youth Democracy Imagination Festival', aimed at encouraging youth from various communities to engage in club activities that promote democratic values. The festival will feature activities planned and executed by youth clubs consisting of 5 to 10 members aged 14 to 19 years. The event is scheduled for September 5, with applications being accepted until next month, after which selected clubs will receive funding of up to 500,000 Won for their activities.
The festival has two main categories: cultural arts performances and educational fairs. Cultural arts performances can include dance, music, rap, bands, musicals, theater, and video productions, while the educational fairs will focus on topics such as reading, literature, ecology, history, debate, media, volunteer work, and art experiences. Judging will commence on the 15th of next month and results will be announced on the 17th, with selection based on the feasibility and creativity of the proposed club activities.
Selected clubs will ultimately present their activities on May 9 at a briefing session, solidifying their plans before participating in the main festival. Each club member will be eligible for funding, and there's also a chance for recognition as outstanding clubs, which will receive awards and souvenirs. This initiative reflects a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation's understanding of democracy through active engagement.
