In a recent heartfelt account, Lithuanian firefighter Deividas Gudaitis shared his memories of a complex rescue operation that took place last autumn, which ultimately saved a woman's life. The woman had become trapped in a metal fence, with a bar penetrating her leg, creating a critical situation where every second counted. Upon arriving at the scene, Gudaitis and his colleague, chief rescuer Irmantas Kašinskas, immediately took decisive action and provided advanced first aid, successfully stopping the severe bleeding with a tourniquet. Following the cutting of the fence pole, they safely handed her over to medical personnel.
