The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency warns against two tattoo inks that contain harmful substances exceeding EU limits and advises immediate removal from use.
The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency, Tukes, has issued a warning regarding two tattoo inks that are currently on sale and pose health risks. One of the inks, Tatuointiväri, Intenze GEN-Z - Lemon Yellow (batch number SS339), has been found to contain isopropanol at levels exceeding the limits set by EU regulations. The second ink, Tatuointiväri, Dynamic Platinum - Candy Apple Red (batch number LOT-CAPP-051224-DP), contains formaldehyde at concentrations above the permissible EU thresholds.
In response to these findings, the company Nordic Tattoo Supplies oy has proactively halted the sales of these products and is taking measures to ensure safety. They have called upon consumers and end-users to return the products as soon as possible, providing further instructions about the potential dangers associated with these inks. Specific information regarding the return process and resale locations will be communicated to alleviate any public concerns.
