Geonnitus is a powerful audiovisual installation that seeks to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of fracking, a controversial method of oil and gas extraction. Hosted at the CETC (Centro de Experimentación del Teatro Colón) in Argentina, the project is a collaboration involving various artists and is co-produced with the Eco Eco Foundation and RUIDO. The installation emphasizes not only the technical aspects of fracking but also encourages viewers to engage deeply with the questions surrounding environmentalism and our planet's critical state.

The artistic concept was developed by Marina Aizen and Pablo Schanton, with contributions from several artists including Javier Areal Vélez and Cecilia Castro, among others. This team worked to transform complex environmental issues related to fracking into a sensory experience. The expressively designed lighting by Facundo Estol adds another layer to the immersive experience, inviting the audience to contemplate the serious ramifications of human activities on the Earth.
