A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday morning at the Ignêz Andreazza residential complex in the Areias neighborhood of Recife, Brazil, claiming the lives of two young brothers, aged 9 and 11. The boys were sleeping in their bedroom on the second floor when the flames erupted, and in a tragic attempt to escape, they became trapped in a window grate.
