Prostitution under the guise of a spa... Police raid, two girls rescued

The Belatorodi Police in Nagpur arrested a woman running a prostitution racket disguised as a spa and rescued two victims, one of whom was from Odisha.

In a recent operation, the Belatorodi Police in Nagpur successfully raided a spa center allegedly involved in prostitution activities. Acting on a tip-off regarding illicit activities at '7 C Wellness Spa' in the Manish Nagar area, police crafted a plan involving undercover officers to conduct the raid. During the operation, evidence emerged revealing that the spa was not just a wellness center but a front for sexual services, with the accused woman reportedly luring women from other states into the racket with promises of monetary benefits.

Two women were rescued during the raid, one of whom is from Odisha. This raises critical concerns about human trafficking and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals seeking better economic opportunities. The police have taken swift action by placing the victims in a secure location for their protection and rehabilitation. This operation highlights the growing issue of sex trafficking in India, where individuals are often coerced into illegal activities under the guise of legitimate businesses.

The authorities seized goods worth a total of ₹15,000, which included ₹5,000 in cash and other items. The arrested woman now faces serious charges, emphasizing the need for stricter enforcement against such unlawful networks. This incident serves as a wake-up call and underscores the importance of vigilance against organized crime masked as legitimate employment and services, urging communities to stay alert to prevent the exploitation of vulnerable persons.
