The report, prepared by the Institute for Economics and Peace, evaluates terrorism's impact based on several critical indicators, including the frequency of attacks, casualty figures, and the severity of violence. Nigeria has persistently ranked among the countries most affected by terrorism, trailing only behind other nations in terms of absolute death tolls. Despite a slight decrease in the overall number of victims in the Sahel, the implications of these figures highlight a continuing crisis that affects millions in the region and contributes to a broader climate of instability across West Africa.
