'Arts of the Village' Exhibition Opens Free Cultural Season in São Pedro da Aldeia

The 'Arts of the Village' exhibition opens a free cultural season in São Pedro da Aldeia, showcasing local artisans and their crafts.

The Municipal Culture Secretariat of São Pedro da Aldeia, located in the Lagoons Region of Rio, is set to inaugurate the 4th edition of the 'Arts of the Village' exhibition on Thursday, January 19, at the Gabriel Joaquim dos Santos Cultural House. This exhibition is part of the cultural season for 2026 and will be open for public viewing until April 17. A launch ceremony for invited guests is also scheduled for the day prior.

The exhibition features artworks created by local artisans, emphasizing the appreciation for local crafts and hand-making techniques. Visitors can explore the display free of charge from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM, excluding holidays. According to the Municipal Culture Secretary, Thiago Marques, the opening of this exhibition marks the beginning of the cultural calendar and highlights the commitment to encourage local production.

Marques expressed his delight in starting the season with 'Arts of the Village,' emphasizing that it celebrates the skill and creativity of the local artisans.
