A tragic head-on collision occurred on BR-386 in Soledade, Brazil, resulting in the death of a truck driver on the morning of Wednesday, the 18th. The incident took place around 6:30 AM at kilometer marker 240. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the victim was driving a truck loaded with sand from Maracajá, Santa Catarina, heading towards Lajeado/Tio Hugo when the accident occurred. The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed.

The collision involved another truck, loaded with corn, which was traveling in the opposite direction and was registered in Cruzeiro do Sul. Fortunately, the driver of the second truck did not suffer any injuries. Following the accident, the authorities, including the Federal Highway Police, firefighters, SAMU, and the General Institute of Forensics (IGP), were called to the scene to investigate the circumstances and dynamics of the crash. As a result of the accident, traffic in the area is being diverted to a side road that is currently undergoing construction.
