In Gorakhpur, police arrested Raj Chauhan, also known as Nirahua, and Vipin Yadav for the murder of BJP leader Rajkumar Chauhan. The murder occurred early Tuesday morning as Chauhan was out for a walk near his home. The attackers, both dump truck drivers, initiated the assault by shooting Chauhan before stabbing him multiple times, leading to his death during treatment in the hospital. During police interrogation, the arrested individuals confessed to the crime, revealing that the murder was premeditated out of a sense of revenge. The tensions began over an incident two months prior when Chauhan's nephew assaulted Raj Chauhan, leading to a feud that escalated due to Chauhan siding with a relative during the conflict. This animosity had brewed for approximately four months before the attackers decided to carry out their assault on Tuesday morning.
