Rimi Thursday - Discounts up to 40%: How to Prepare for Easter Table More Cheaply?

A recent survey by Rimi reveals Lithuanian consumers are planning their Easter shopping more strategically, with many looking to discounts to save money.

A survey conducted by Rimi indicates that Lithuanian consumers are increasingly preparing for Easter with a focus on budgeting and discounts. One-third of respondents claim that shopping during promotions allows them to save significantly, with many indicating they plan to spend less than in previous years. The survey shows that 39% of those questioned intend to spend up to 50 euros for the Easter table, while 37% are looking to spend up to 100 euros.

According to Luka Lesauskaitė-Remeikė, Rimi Lietuva's public relations manager, the trend toward advance planning for purchases and meals not only mitigates last-minute stress but also leads to substantial savings. She emphasizes that such items as canned goods, oils, various sauces, or frozen products are ideal for early purchasing, allowing consumers to distribute their expenses more evenly over time.

The findings also suggest that over half (52%) of the population emphasizes the importance of promotions when shopping, highlighting a shift in consumer behavior towards more mindful spending as they navigate economic challenges. This preparation trend among shoppers is expected to influence local retail strategies leading up to the Easter holiday period, suggesting a competitive market environment among grocery retailers in Lithuania.
