On March 3, 'Lidl' was the cheapest for common groceries: products will be useful for the Easter table

A recent study reveals that 'Lidl' offered the lowest prices for a basket of common groceries on March 3, with products suitable for Easter meals.

A survey conducted by 'SeeNext' secret shoppers on March 3 examined the prices of a basket of common groceries at five of Lithuania's largest retailers in Vilnius and Kaunas. The basket included 29 items across various food categories, including dairy, meat, grains, groceries, fruits, vegetables, and beverages. Many of these items are also relevant for preparing Easter meals, highlighting their seasonal significance.

The findings indicated that 'Lidl' had the lowest prices for meat products, with a total cost of 14.70 euros, showing a significant price difference of 2.65 euros compared to the highest-priced competitor on that day. Additionally, 'Lidl' also reported the lowest costs for grain products and fresh produce, demonstrating its competitive pricing strategy in the grocery sector amidst varying price offerings from other chains.
