Senator Barau of Kano has initiated a rice distribution program to support his constituents during the holy month of Ramadan and the Sallah celebrations. The event took place at Azman Rice Company, where his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Abdallah, oversaw the flag-off. This initiative is part of the annual tradition of the Deputy President of the Senate to assist local communities with essential resources during significant religious periods.

In this first phase, 47,280 households across the 13 Local Government Areas (LGs) of the Kano North Senatorial District received one bag of rice each. This initiative particularly emphasizes grassroots support, ensuring that the most vulnerable segments of the population receive assistance. The program aims to ease the burden on families during Ramadan, a time when charity and community support are especially valued.
