Norstat ratings: support percentages for political parties remain stable
Recent polls indicate that the support percentages for Estonian political parties have remained largely unchanged.
According to a recent survey conducted by the Institute of Social Research and polling company Norstat, the support percentages for Estonian political parties have seen little variation in recent weeks. The latest results show that the Isamaa party leads with 27.7% support, followed by the Centre Party at 21.4%, and the Social Democratic Party at 13.5%. The stability of these percentages suggests a relatively settled political environment in Estonia at this time.
The Isamaa party has maintained its support in the range of 27 to 28% over recent weeks, indicating a solidified base. Meanwhile, the Centre Party's support has consistently remained around 21%, and the Social Democrats hold between 13 and 14%. Following these top three parties, the Reform Party stands at 12.8%, the EKRE at 12.4%, the Conservative Peopleβs Party at 6.5%, and Eesti 200 at 2%. This distribution highlights both the competitive nature of the Estonian political landscape and the potential for shifts in public preference, even amidst current stability.
Furthermore, coalition parties collectively receive support from 14.8% of the respondents, while a significant 75% support opposition parties in the Riigikogu. With the survey conducted from February 16 to March 15 and involving 4,000 eligible voters in Estonia, these results provide valuable insights into the mood of the electorate and the ongoing dynamics of Estonian politics, suggesting possible implications for upcoming elections and the formation of future governance.
