HS poll: SDP still the most popular

According to a recent poll by Helsingin Sanomat, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) continues to lead in popularity, garnering 24.8% support from respondents. This positions them ahead of the National Coalition Party, which stands at 17.8%. The poll reflects current sentiments in Finnish politics, showcasing the SDP's solidified stance amongst voters, despite potential challenges from other parties.

Following the SDP, the Centre Party and the Finns Party have closely matched support, with the Centre Party at 13.7% and the Finns Party slightly trailing at 13.4%. These figures indicate a competitive political landscape in which traditional parties are vying for voter attention, suggesting a potential shift in alliances and strategies as the next elections approach.

Conducted by research company Veria between February and March, the survey included over 4,000 participants. The method employed was an online panel, and the margin of error stands at about 1.5 percentage points for the major parties.
