A 48-year-old man was arrested preventively in Ananindeua, part of the Metropolitan Region of Belém, on suspicion of committing sexual crimes against two adolescents. According to the police, the suspect claimed that the adolescents were in grave danger and needed to follow his guidance to avert potential death threats. His manipulative tactics involved subjecting the young individuals to sexual acts under the guise of spiritual practices, effectively creating a false sense of security. The police investigation revealed that he fostered an environment of trust while also implementing threats to instill fear and emotional dependence in his victims.

The inquiry into the matter was initiated when family members noticed behavioral changes in one of the adolescents.
