Helsinki's city officials have announced changes to electric scooter regulations for the upcoming season, including expanded no-parking zones around the city.
Starting from March 17, a new season for electric scooters is set to begin in Helsinki, accompanied by significant changes to their regulation. The city has decided to expand the no-parking zones for scooters, extending them from the city center to areas including Taka-Tรถรถlรถ, Kallio, Kalasatama, and Pasila. This move aims to streamline scooter parking and reduce congestion in busy urban areas. Additionally, parking will be prohibited near many train and metro stations, enhancing public transport accessibility.
