Transport will put its logo on private buses operating the main state lines
Spain's Ministry of Transport will require private buses on major state routes to display its logo as part of a campaign to enhance the public image of state transportation services.
The Spanish Ministry of Transport has announced that it will implement a new branding policy requiring private buses operating under state contracts to display the ministry's logo. This initiative aims to reinforce the identity of the state network as modern, identifiable, and aligned with sustainable mobility and territorial cohesion. All buses involved in contracts tendered since January 1 of this year will be affected, as they will operate on major routes across the country that are under the jurisdiction of the national government.
According to Óscar Puente, head of the ministry, this mandatory corporate identity will apply specifically to those private companies providing regular transport services on roads owned by the General State Administration. The measure is part of a broader strategy to present public transportation as a reliable and cohesive service that integrates sustainable practices, thereby improving public perception and usage of state-run transportation.
The resolution has been approved by the General Directorate of Road and Railway Transport, ensuring that every vehicle operating on the strategic routes will bear the ministry's branding. Publication of this initiative in the Official State Gazette signifies the beginning of its implementation, which emphasizes the government's ongoing commitment to updating and modernizing public transportation services in Spain.
