Cgates expands – acquired part of the telecommunications supplier Splius for 13 million euros
Cgates has become the sole shareholder of the newly established Splius company, expanding its services in 11 regions of Western and Northern Lithuania.
Cgates, a telecommunications provider, has announced its acquisition of a portion of Splius for 13 million euros, making it the sole shareholder of the newly established company. This strategic move comes as Cgates aims to expand its fiber optic internet and smart television services to 11 regions in Western and Northern Lithuania. The merger is expected to enhance service offerings and competitiveness in the rapidly consolidating telecommunications market.
The CEO of Cgates, Norbert Žioba, highlighted that this transaction would assure long-term competitiveness while also increasing access to modern services for residents in the newly serviced regions. With the expansion, customers can anticipate faster and more reliable internet connections, a broader range of television channels, and additional contemporary digital services. This aligns with Cgates' strategic goal to leverage existing infrastructure while meeting growing consumer demands for quality telecommunications services.
Over the past three years, Cgates has invested more than 20 million euros into improving service quality across Lithuania. This substantial investment underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing technology and service offerings in the competitive telecom landscape, enabling residents to benefit from advanced digital solutions that were previously unavailable in these regions.
