DYPA: Applications for the new entrepreneurship program for unemployed people aged 18-29 until 23/3

The deadline for applications to the new entrepreneurship program for unemployed individuals aged 18-29 is extended until March 23, focusing on women and the digital and green economy.

The Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) has extended the application deadline for its new entrepreneurship program designed for unemployed individuals aged 18-29, now set to close on March 23 at 3 PM. This initiative, which particularly targets women and encourages ventures in the digital and green economy, offers financial support of €17,500 for the establishment of new businesses. The program aims to foster self-employment and create new small and medium enterprises, providing significant opportunities for over 2,100 unemployed youths.

This 12-month initiative is instrumental in addressing the high rates of youth unemployment and is structured to prioritize the inclusion of women in its offerings. The support is tiered, disbursed in three installments contingent on the business's viability and ongoing operations. The first installment of €4,700 is released upon the commencement of business activities, followed by a second installment of €6,400 after six months of operation, and a final payment designed to sustain enduring success.

By emphasizing entrepreneurship in the digital and green sectors, this program aligns with broader economic goals in Greece aiming to transition towards sustainable practices. It not only seeks immediate job creation but also aims to equip the younger generation with the necessary skills and opportunities to thrive in an evolving economy, thereby contributing to a broader socio-economic upliftment.
