From Tuesday, March 10, applicants will be able to submit their electronic applications for the new project by the Greek Manpower Employment Organization (DYPA) titled "Skill Upgrade and Retraining Programs in High-Demand Sectors," which emphasizes digital, green, and financial literacy skills. The program targets up to 114,384 private sector employees looking to enhance their skills and improve their job prospects in modern, dynamic economic fields.
The implementation will take place through a training voucher system, comprising 150 hours of training—149 hours of asynchronous online learning and 1 hour of synchronous online learning. This structure is designed to provide flexibility and accessibility, crucial for working individuals seeking skill enhancement without interfering with their employment commitments.
According to DYPA's announcement, upon completing the training, beneficiaries will participate in certification exams conducted by independent bodies. Those who pass the exams will receive the full training allowance, thus incentivizing participation and successful skill development among the workforce, which is vital for aligning competencies with labor market demands.
