Hyderabad: Thieves made off with ₹1 crore by throwing chili powder, police are examining CCTV

In a dramatic robbery in Hyderabad, thieves used chili powder to blind two victims and stole around ₹1 crore from them.

A sensational robbery occurred in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, late Monday night where two individuals were attacked and robbed of nearly ₹1 crore. The victims, identified as Khursu and Azimuddin, were riding their motorcycle when they were confronted by four assailants on another motorcycle who blocked their path. Before the victims could react, the attackers surrounded them and prepared to execute their plan.

Upon halting the victims, the robbers immediately threw chili powder in their eyes, rendering them helpless and allowing the assailants to snatch a bag filled with cash and escape quickly. This brazen act has resulted in a state of panic in the area, prompting a swift response from the police who have launched an investigation. They are actively reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to apprehend the culprits.

The incident not only highlights the audacity of the criminals but also raises concerns about public safety in urban areas like Kukatpally where such violent crimes can occur.
