Hyderabad: Theft of 1.3 Crores in a High-Profile Area, 5 Accused Arrested
Five suspects have been arrested in connection to a theft of 1.3 crore rupees in the upscale Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad.
In a high-profile theft incident in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, local police, in collaboration with the cityโs task force, arrested five individuals involved in the theft of 1.3 crore rupees worth of gold and diamond jewelry. The theft took place on February 5, when the main accused led a Nepali gang that utilized the assistance of a housemaid to execute the burglary.
According to police reports, two of the suspects entered the house while the residents were absent. They allegedly incapacitated the guards and the cook with drugged beverages, which allowed them to carry out the theft without interruption. The police also mentioned that the mastermind behind the operation, known as Jivan or Jivan Bahadur Chand, is still at large, along with several other accomplices.
The identities of the suspects have been partially established, featuring a mix of confirmed arrests and fugitive members related to the crime. The police have filed charges against the arrested individuals under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, indicating the serious nature of the crime and the ongoing efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects.
