According to spokesperson Jany Plevnik, the system struggles under heavy traffic as many users attempt to log in simultaneously. This high demand is typical on the first day of the declaration period, causing frustration for many users trying to access the service.

The issues began just before 7:00 AM, with reports of difficulties emerging on social media platforms such as Downdetector, confirming the widespread nature of the problem. Plevnik indicated that while it is a common occurrence for such technical difficulties to arise at the start of the declaration period, it remains challenging to predict the resolution timeline as individual experiences can vary significantly.

To mitigate the situation, Skatteverket has deployed additional staff to assist in managing the problems and ensure that operations run smoothly.
