Denmark wins gold at unofficial chef European Championship

Denmark has once again excelled in the culinary arena by winning gold at the European leg of the Bocuse d'Or, an esteemed chef competition, which now qualifies them for the international finale in January 2027. The victory was led by head chef Christian Wellendorf from Copenhagen’s restaurant Babette, with the support of commis chef Gustav Spurré and team coach Kenneth Toft-Hansen. The first dish featured the fish red mullet, served alongside chickpeas, violet artichoke, and a sea urchin sauce, while the second course was an adventurous combination of octopus and Camargue beef filet in a surf-and-turf style.
