As of Monday, March 16, the myAADE digital portal has made the application for submitting individual income tax returns for the 2025 tax year available, with a submission deadline of Wednesday, July 15, 2026. The governor of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), Giorgos Pitsilis, has stipulated the necessary details for the smooth completion of the tax return submission process through a recent decision.

The application, 'Income Tax Return for Individuals E1 – E2 – E3', incorporates all recent legislative adjustments and new functionalities aimed at simplifying the process and improving taxpayer service. This year, automatic submission of returns will be available for more than 1.5 million taxpayers, including primarily employees and pensioners, facilitating their filing experience significantly.

This is the third consecutive year that personal income tax returns are prefilled and pre-validated for this group of taxpayers, which indicates a move towards more efficient and user-friendly tax administration. Such measures reflect the government's initiative to enhance the digitalization of tax processes, thereby encouraging compliance and improving overall tax collection efficiency.
