See the ways to submit the Income Tax return 2026

Taxpayers can submit the 2026 Income Tax return through various methods including online submissions and using the PGD software.

Taxpayers who need to file their 2026 Income Tax return have multiple options available for submission. They can choose to file via computer, online, or through mobile devices. The Brazilian Federal Revenue Agency has made the PGD (Declaration Generator Program) available for download, which allows for offline filing. The program will be available for download starting this Friday (20th). Furthermore, there is the MIR (My Income Tax) system, which allows taxpayers to fill out and submit their returns digitally without needing to install any software.

For the offline option with the PGD, users can download the program directly from the official Federal Revenue Agency website, where they can also complete their returns. Conversely, the MIR option permits users to access the tax return form through the Federal Revenue Agency's website, e-CAC (Virtual Service Center), the government’s digital service portal, or the Federal Revenue app on their mobile devices. This flexibility aims to make the tax filing process easier for Brazilian citizens.

This year's declaration submission begins at 8 AM on Monday, the 23rd, and continues until May 29th, giving taxpayers a window to complete their filings. The introduction of multiple user-friendly filing methods reflects ongoing efforts by the Brazilian government to streamline tax processes and encourage compliance, ensuring that all taxpayers are aware of their filing responsibilities and available resources.
