The event took place at the Cineteatro Celso Barros, hosted by Sesc Cajuína, attracting public interest from the local community. This documentary not only honors Arcoverde's life and achievements but also emphasizes the importance of recognizing historical figures in local Brazilian history.

The film captures the multifaceted life of Dirceu Mendes Arcoverde, who was known not only as a former governor but also as a compassionate physician and dedicated university professor. His medical career began after graduating in Medicine from Rio de Janeiro in 1949, and he later returned to Piauí, where he became a local hero by providing free and humane medical care to impoverished populations. Additionally, he contributed significantly to education in the region as a professor of Anatomy at the local university, establishing himself as an influential figure in both health and education sectors.

In addition to the documentary, the event featured the re-release of Arcoverde's biography authored by journalist Zózimo Tavares, coinciding with the film’s debut.
