Teenager disappears after being dropped off at school in Goiânia
A 14-year-old girl went missing shortly after being dropped off by her school van at the Military College Hugo de Carvalho Ramos in Goiânia.
A 14-year-old girl named Larissa Yasmin Jesus Silva vanished on Friday after being dropped off at her school, the Military College Hugo de Carvalho Ramos, in the Jardim Goiás area around 12:30 PM. According to her family, she was in the 9th grade and had planned to go to a nearby supermarket with her friends before attending class. However, during the short detour, she complained of pain, asked her friends to inform her mother, and drifted away from the group. Notably, she did not have a cell phone with her at the time of her disappearance.
Witness accounts suggest that Larissa was last seen standing between two parked cars before seemingly entering an elevator. Her aunt, Ana Paula Jesus Silva, revealed that the friends noticed Larissa leaning against the vehicles during their walk, and upon returning, they found she was no longer with them. This alarming situation raises questions about safety around school premises and the responsibilities of guardians and schools in ensuring the well-being of children during school hours.
The disappearance has prompted concern within the local community, and authorities are likely to intensify search efforts in hopes of locating Larissa. As the investigation continues, many are calling for heightened awareness and safety measures to protect students in similar situations in the future, especially given the uncertainties surrounding her last movements.
