Search for 14-year-old girl missing in Salvador enters the 4th day; security camera recorded girl returning from school
The search for 14-year-old Thamiris Pereira, missing in Salvador, Brazil for four days, continues, with security footage showing her walking home from school but taking a different route afterwards.
Thamiris Pereira, a 14-year-old girl from the Jardim das Margaridas neighborhood in Salvador, has been missing since Thursday, October 12. The last sighting of her was captured by a security camera, which showed Thamiris walking home from school while wearing her school uniform and carrying a backpack. However, in the footage, she stops at a house with a blue wall and veers off the path that would have taken her home, raising concerns about her whereabouts.
On the same day she disappeared, her backpack was discovered on Rua Francisco de Assis, also in Jardim das Margaridas. The bag contained all her belongings except her cell phone, which has not yet been found. Thamiris's family is deeply worried, and her sister, Adriana Pereira, mentioned that they checked her social media accounts only to find that many of her conversations had been deleted, compounding their distress as they seek answers about her disappearance.
The community has rallied in support, with local authorities conducting searches and appealing to the public for any information regarding Thamiris's location. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and ensure her safe return.
