Dr. Ayodele Bakare, Assistant Director of the Cybersecurity Department at the National Information Technology Development Agency, highlighted these efforts during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja.

Dr. Bakare elaborated on the collaborative approach being adopted for cybersecurity governance in Nigeria, which involves multiple government agencies with distinct responsibilities. The coordination of these national cybersecurity initiatives falls under the purview of the Office of the National Security Adviser, which oversees operations through the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre.
