Donut Lab made a mistake - The mystery test may have been revealed in advance

Donut Lab's recent testing procedure has come under fire due to inconsistencies in their reported results, potentially affecting public perception of their product.

Donut Lab, a company known for its controversial battery tests, has recently faced backlash due to a reported mistake concerning their mystery test. According to automotive journalist Max Lange, there was an error during the presentation of earlier test results that could mislead customers and stakeholders. This third test follows two previous tests published every three weeks, which have been cloaked in mystery, raising questions about the accuracy and credibility of the findings. The latest (fourth) test is scheduled for today.

Lange pointed out that during a YouTube presentation linked to Donut Lab's results, there were discrepancies in the reported test findings, with certain phrases differing from what was ultimately published. In particular, it was mentioned in a sidebar that one of the tests might involve cold temperature testing, although this information was not clearly disclosed in the final report. Such inconsistencies have led the public to wonder whether Donut Lab's revealing of test results has been transparent or if there were attempts to cover up faults.

While the tests conducted by VTT have not definitively proven the controversial cell to be a hoax, they also have not confirmed its authenticity as a superior battery. As anticipation builds for today's test results, both the company and the public are eager for clarity, as this ongoing scrutiny may influence the future reputation and trustworthiness of Donut Lab's innovations in battery technology.
