Pensions of Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia will be paid by VSAA by Wednesday

Latvian authorities will disburse pensions to retirees from Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia by March 18, covering the first quarter of the year.

The State Social Insurance Agency of Latvia (VSAA) has announced that pensions for the first quarter of 2023 for pensioners residing in Latvia from Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia will be distributed by March 18. According to the VSAA, a total of 424 individuals will receive their pensions from Ukraine, with a total of €121,300 provided by the Ukrainian Pension Fund. Additionally, 4,233 individuals from Belarus will receive their pensions, with the competent Belarusian authority allocating €396,300 for this purpose. In total, 9,196 residents in Latvia are eligible to receive pensions from Russia, backed by a substantial amount of €4.6 million from the Russian Pension and Social Security Fund.
