Latvia's national airline airBaltic has announced the cancellation of all planned flights to and from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates until the end of October 2026. Mants VrubΔΌausks, airBaltic's Vice President of Route Network Management, emphasized that while Dubai is a highly sought-after destination within their route network, the prevailing safety conditions necessitate careful and responsible decisions regarding travel options.
In addressing customer concerns, airBaltic is offering its passengers the opportunity to choose alternative flights at no extra cost, allowing them to select from over 80 destinations the airline services. Popular vacation spots available include Antalya, Corfu, Crete, and Lisbon among others. This move reflects the airline's attempt to mitigate the impact on travel plans, ensuring customer satisfaction and flexibility during an uncertain period in the region.
