Important: One of the Kleboniškis Bridges will soon be closed

The southern bridge will be completely closed for repairs starting March 16, 2026, redirecting traffic onto the middle bridge with a speed limit of 70 km/h.

In a recent announcement, it has been confirmed that the southern bridge will be closed for repairs starting from March 16, 2026. This closure will redirect all traffic traveling towards Vilnius to the middle bridge, which will operate with three traffic lanes. Additionally, there will be a reduced speed limit of 70 km/h on this section of the highway. Traffic heading towards Klaipėda will remain unaffected and operate as usual.

Preparatory works for the traffic changes are currently underway, with new signage being installed and safety barriers being transported. The traffic closure is scheduled to take place in the afternoon of the same day. A representative from 'Via Lietuvos' informed the media that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure a smooth transition during the repair period.

Moreover, demolition works for the viaduct over Jonavos street are set for the night of March 20 to March 21, starting at 10:30 PM. The plan includes the demolition of bridge girders and partial restoration of traffic on Jonavos street, allowing single-lane traffic as soon as possible. This ongoing infrastructure improvement aims to enhance road safety and traffic flow in the region.
